Ride a Mongolian horse through mountain valleys, sway atop a Bactrian camel, and stand before the most iconic monument in all of Asia — all in a single, carefully crafted day.

After a short drive from Ulaanbaatar, Terelj National Park opens before you — granite peaks, green valleys, and crystal-clear streams. Your first hour is spent on horseback, following mountain trails that nomadic families have ridden for centuries. Then, a 15-minute camel ride gives you a gently swaying view of the whole valley.

After a traditional Mongolian lunch, you drive to Tsonjin Boldog — home of the extraordinary 40-metre Chinggis Khan equestrian statue. Explore the empire museum inside the base, then ascend by lift to the viewing deck at the statue's head for a breathtaking 360° panorama of the steppe.

Chinggis Khan Statue Complex — Tsonjin Boldog
Arrive at the world's largest equestrian statue — a gleaming 40-metre steel monument of Chinggis Khan rising from the open steppe. Explore the Mongol Empire museum at the base, then ascend by lift through the horse's neck to the viewing deck at the statue's head for a breathtaking 360° panorama of the surrounding plains.

Bactrian Camel Ride — 15 Minutes
Experience the gentle sway of a two-humped Bactrian camel at the foot of the great statue. A memorable moment and a wonderful photo opportunity with the monument as your backdrop.

Drive into the stunning Terelj National Park and mount a Mongolian horse. Ride through river valleys and past dramatic granite rock formations for one full hour. Your guide accompanies you at all times — all experience levels are welcome.

A short hike up the forested hillside leads to Aryabal — a peaceful Buddhist temple perched above the Terelj valley. Colourful prayer flags, stone carved mantras along the trail, and a serene mountain atmosphere make this a quietly unforgettable stop.

Return to Ulaanbaatar
Your driver will take you back to your hotel, arriving in the early evening. If you wish, you can stop along the way at a craft shop for handmade Mongolian souvenirs — cashmere, felt art, or silver jewellery.
